SCU Golf Facility

Situated between the renowned Stevens Stadium and the Paul L. Locatelli Student Activities Center at Santa Clara University, this new development promises to be a hub of innovation and recreation.
At the heart of this project is a 1500 square foot building that will serve as a haven for SCU’s golf team and faculty. Inside, you’ll find a lounge where the team can connect with one another. There will be a virtual putting green, equipped with patented technology that can   dynamically change the slope and undulation of the ground to mimic any putting contour in golf.
The building will also house two golf simulators. These simulators go beyond the ordinary, utilizing an overhead ION3 Camera to measure ball impact and a combination of infrared technology and high-speed blue light LED cameras to track the ball in-flight.
In addition to the building, the project will also include a sprawling 5000 square foot synthetic putting green complete with strategically placed bunkers. This outdoor space will provide ample opportunities for practice.

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center

The Santa Clara Valley Medical Center project aims to build an outdoor amenity space and entry plaza east of the current Old Main building. The site will feature an open space for staff and employees to relax that also serves a dual-purpose as a fire access allowing for health, safety, welfare, rescuing, and fire rescue.
An aerial view showcases the overarching tree design with each branch guiding users to different entry points for the adjacent buildings. The design scheme chosen has an organic shape that offers three different experiences for the user in form of a small wave, a medium size wave, and a large wave nested among the branches. The smaller area is an intimate garden seating area where staff can converse with each other while being surrounded by planting and vegetation. The medium size area incorporates seating and dining areas as well as hardscape providing a space for employees eat and socialize. The larger area creates a environment for staff to be surrounded by nature while also providing a habitat for local wildlife and serving as a biotreatment area. In addition to these main three areas, the space also provides a lush shade garden for employees to relax and have some private downtime.
This effort is one of many projects happening at the hospital and one of the goals is to ensure the work done blends seamlessly with the adjacent projects as they continue forward.
