Rafael has over ten years of experience working on public works and land development projects throughout the Bay Area. As a Civil Engineering Manager at HMH, Rafael is responsible for the management, design, coordination and production of grading and drainage plans, public and private improvement plans and Stormwater Control Plans for various projects that include residential (attached and detached), mixed-use, commercial/retail and hospitality management. Rafael’s proactive approach, strong communication skills with multiple stakeholders and a mentor-like approach with junior engineers creates a collaborative and solution-driven team that is always willing to go the extra mile to produce the best level of service to our clients.
Rafael is currently part of the HMH CAD Committee to streamline company CAD standards, details and procedures. His proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D creates an additional teaching opportunity for junior engineers on industry best practices when carrying out design tasks.
