Vice President/Principal, Landscape Architecture

As a Principal at HMH, Bill brings over 27 years of expertise as a licensed landscape architect and urban planner to public and private land development projects. Bill leads the HMH Landscape Architecture practice, emphasizing project coordination, communication. A department foundation pillar is being able to harness the collaborative power of landscape architectural design to develop smart, interactive spaces to improve our communities. Daily interaction, coordination and dialogue with clients, engineers, designers, surveyors and stormwater specialists give the landscape architects at HMH a comprehensive understanding of site design elements and the ability to offer creative holistic solutions. Bill emphasizes that Landscape Architecture needs to look beyond the limits of design and be leaders and partners on development teams working towards new paradigms of community sustainability.

Completed assignments include private commercial and retail developments; residential projects, master planned communities; senior care and housing communities; public parks and recreation improvements; streetscapes and other urban improvements. Bill is affiliated with American Society of Landscape Architects, American Planning Association, Urban Land Institute and U. S. Green Building Council.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and his Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State University. Bill is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of California and is also a Western Chapter ISA Certified Arborist.
